How does one tie their own french/russian net tulle for a hat veil?

I need good instructions, preferably illustrated, on how to make 3/8" or 1/2" net veiling for a hat veil because I wish to incorporate beads into the design at every other cross section. If anyone knows of a website or book where I could get detailed instructions be it a lacemaking type book or a millinery book, even a fishnet making book might help, please let me know. Thanks.
