Tungsten Beads
SERIOUS BASS FISHERMAN!!!?
ok i just started carolina rigging and between the swivals i use 2 glass beads a tungsten weight and 2 more glass beads...normally i use 12 or 14 pound test line but the tungsten weight frays my line and i lose many big fish from a broken line...what pound test line should i use between the swivals?
i use a tungsten weight because it is steel not lead or brass and when it hits the glass beads it attracts the fish... that is what frays my line but normally i use about 60 pound test for the beads and sinker but i didnt no if anyone has ever tried this and used 30 pound or so...
You know the odds are if you have something on your line that is fraying it, eventually it will fray the next line you try. I would seriously consider changing to a different weight or smoothing down the rough edges on the one I am using.
