Jacket Size

What size motorcycle jacket to order?

I ussually wear a large but have noticed people commenting that they order One Size larger sometimes and are happy that they did. so are motorcycle jacket fittings like when you buy running shoes sometimes you need a size bigger? Thanks for your help.
