Series Spool
Is the spool of RG6 cable I have from 1999 what I want to use to wire my basement for a HD Dish satellite?
The cable reads TFC-T10 File No E86650 CATV (UL) 6 Series. I bought it from the cable company so it was the "good stuff" at the time. With HD though, is there a newer, faster RG6 standard? How can I determine how fast my cable may be. I am finishing my basement and want to do it right, but if I can use the cable I already have instead of buying new cable, that would be ideal. Your help is greatly appreciated.
How do I know what mhz it is? is some RG6 less than 2250mhz?
should be fine as long as it is coax
the cable standards for coax, speaker wire, and cat 5 cabling have remained solid for a long time
the only changes in cabling tech since 99 is in the cables from the sat box/cable rec. to the tv----dvi has about 4 standards, and hdmi has multiple versions and odd compatiblity issues between older components
rg6 is the same now as it was 10 years ago
