Question regarding room decorating?
I am redecorating my room this summer, but I still don't know what some of the "must-have" furniture of my bedroom is. I already have a general style/theme picked out (sort of a vintage look), and I already have a wall color picked out (pastel/sage green), but I don't know what types of furniture would look good with that. What do you think?
1] first, you buy the furniture - bed, dresser, desk/chair, etc.
a] most expensive items, so ou will have them the longest
b] medium shade woods go with almnost all colors
2] second, you buy bedding you love -
a] comforter/quilt,
b] shams/pillows,
c] bedskirt or curtains if you want them to match
3] third, you pick a color from bedding, or a lighter shade or the bed color, or pretty contrasting shade for walls
a] it is MUCH easier to match paint to bedding shade, than bedding to paint
4] add smaller accessories in bed colors
lamps/shades
artwork. ornaments
candles/holders
