Our rooster Kelog is a pest?
My Rooster Kellog keeps on getting in my garden and digging p my plants when he looks for bugs. He has pleny of food but he still dose it There are big holes in my garden and a lot of my plants have come up missing. Do you know wha Ican do to preent him from doing this?
lol I have the same problem . . That's why my chickens aren't allowed in the front garden
(where all the flowers etc are situated )
My chickens have the run of the back yard where there are only trees and shrubs that they CANNOT do any damage too
The truth is ALL chickens dig and scratch around . . They love to destrot plants and everything like that it's a natural thing . .The holes they created are because they were dust bathing there . . t5o keep cool and get rid of parasites and itches even the best fed chickens still do it simply cos they enjoy digging and looking for bugs etc They don't mean to do damagea but nearly always do and nothing really you can do to stop it ..
unless you either (1) wire over you plants
(2) stop you chickens from acsessing the plans (ie create some kind of barrier or pen them in)
(3)just let them destroy them (not a wise idea XD)
all people with chickens have the same problem :L it's just something that comes with chickens.
